Software Purchasing and Licensing Agreements

The CSU has several system-wide agreements in place that allow faculty and staff, and in some cases auxiliary organizations, the opportunity to obtain software at discounted prices. Note that IT Support Service does not support all the products listed. If you should need assistance installing or troubleshooting non-supported software, a CAF will be required for all departments. See our Support Guidelines for more information.

For a complete list of CSU Software Agreements, visit the CSU Systemwide Contract Store

Microsoft Products - Requiring Purchase of Licensing

The Microsoft Select Agreement allows the CSU campus community (including officially recognized Auxiliary Organizations) to purchase software licenses and media not included in the above Campus Agreement at significant discounts. Purchase of licensing and media should be made through ITSS (see below).

Commonly used campus software that requires purchase of licensing:

  • Windows Server

  • MS Visual Studio

The Chancellor's Office has negotiated discounts for a number of software products. All licensing and media should be purchased through ITSS. To get a license of FileMaker, please reach out to the Software Purchasing team at ITSS.
