Exchange Email Setup for iPhones & iPads

Configure iPhones & iPads

In the Outlook App:

Make sure you have installed the Outlook app from the App Store. Once installed, open the app. You should be immediately prompted to Add an Account. First, enter your email address, which will be [username]@csushico.edu.

The next screen will prompt for your password, then ask you to approve the sign-in using Duo. 

Once you approve the log-in, the app will take a few minutes to load any existing emails into the app. 

 

On the Mail app:

These are instructions for configuring the native/Apple iOS email app for campus Exchange email. If you previously had your iPhone or iPad configured for Exchange Email you may have to remove and re-add your account to the device. If this is a new setup skip to Add Your Account below.

Remove Your Account

  1. From the Home screen, navigate to Settings > Mail > Accounts.
  2. From the Accounts section, tap an email account.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Tap Delete account again to confirm.

Add Your Account

  1. From the Home screen Tap Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account.
  2. Tap Microsoft Exchange.
  3. Type your email address and the name of the account under "Description"
  4. Click "Sign-in" and you will be redirected to CSU, Chico log-in page
  5. Enter your password and hit "Sign in"
  6. You may be prompted by Duo to Approve the sign in. Approve then return to the account setup.
  7. On the next screen, hit "Save"
