SSO Error When Signing in to Zoom

When signing in to Zoom, the user receives an error message stating "Something went wrong while you tried signing in with SSO." This issue prevents users from accessing their Zoom accounts and affects anyone attempting to sign in using Single Sign-On (SSO).

Environment

Solution

To fix the "Something went wrong while you tried signing in with SSO" error, follow these steps:

  1. Open a ticket with Learning Technology Services.
  2. Include the text under the error message that starts with "WEB_" in your ticket.

Now Learning Technology Services will resolve the issue with your account.

Root Cause

When signing in with SSO, Zoom automatically provisions accounts at sign-on. Occasionally, Zoom fails to automatically provision a Zoom account for some users. In these instances, Learning Technology Services needs to manually provision a Zoom account.
