Enable Zoom Cloud Recording (Students)

Chico State students must first enable cloud recording for zoom. Cloud recordings automatically transfer to Kaltura, Chico State's media server for longer-term storage. ​​​​

Enable Cloud Recording

From your browser, enter www.csuchico.edu/zoom to access the Chico State Zoom portal. 

  1. From the left navigation menu, choose Settings.

  2. From the top half of the screen, select the Recording tab. 

  3. Under Cloud Recording, select On

All students, faculty and staff can host and record their own Zoom meetings. You can start a Zoom meeting for multiple participants or just yourself if you want to record a screenshare. Zoom cloud recordings automatically transfer to your Kaltura media library for longer-term storage.
You can start Zoom meetings from the Chico State Zoom portal, the Zoom desktop client, Canvas, mobile app, or Microsoft Outlook.
