What is Kurzweil 3000?
Kurzweil 3000 is an educational technology program that provides an accessible and inclusive learning environment. Users can customize their learning experience to their preferences and needs when using Kurzweil.
Within the program is a powerful collection of reading, writing and study skill tools. Additional tools include writing support, translations, and methods of brainstorming and organization.
Who Can Use It?
As previously stated, any student, staff or faculty at Chico State can utilize Kurzweil 3000. Staff and faculty can specifically use reading comprehension for scholarly articles and professional development. There are also a multitude of templates that offer quick startups for project proposals, critical review plans, and much more.
Kurzweil is a tool that also improves the concentration and retention of reading material. If you are a student in a writing or reading intensive course, you can insert documents into the Kurzweil platform to improve concentration and retention of the reading material. Having this text-to-speech tool will also help students get through numerous readings in a short period of time.

Kurzweil can be accessed on a laptop, desktop, or tablet. There is currently no app available and must be accessed through the website. For the best results, it is recommended to use Google Chrome.
