Instructional Materials Accessibility and Remediation by TLP

To make course materials more accessible to all students so that they can be successful, the Technology and Learning Program (TLP) is here to assist faculty and offer our service: “Instructional Materials Accessibility and Remediation.” This service is part of CSU Chico’s commitment to making course materials compliant with the CSU Accessible Technology Initiative and federal law (Section 508).
Working with the faculty who request service, TLP will download course documents, remediate them to make them more accessible, and then work with faculty to return the remediated documents back into their course into the documents appropriate locations.
Once remediated and accessible documents are uploaded back to Blackboard/LMS, students can use Ally to automatically download the documents for improved universal design for learning using different formats of the documents: PDF, HTML, MP3, eReader, eBraille, and others.
Faculty submit a ticket for TLP’s instructional materials accessibility and remediation service by clicking on “Request Service” link to the right of this text.
If you have any questions, please contact the Technology and Learning Program at 530-898-6167 or email tlp@csuchico.edu.
