Setting PC to Default Print Black and White (B/W)

This guide covers how to set your PC to default to B/W printing. These instructions are specifically for the Ray Morgan MFPs, but most other color print devices have similar settings in these same locations, so this guide can be used for those as well. These settings can be overridden within certain programs, so if items are still printing in color after making these changes take a look at the color print settings in the program you are using.

Go to the search box next to the start menu button and type in "Control Panel", and then click the Control Panel item when it appears:

Then in the window that appears click either "View devices and printers" or "Devices and Printers" depending on which of these two views you see, both go to the same place:

Then find the printer you want to change the defaults for, right click on it, and then click "Printing preferences":

At the bottom of the window that appears is the color mode default. From here you can select "Black and White". Next click 'Apply' and then 'OK' and your default will be changed as indicated:
