Block a Sender in Outlook on the Web
Follow these steps if you access your email through a web browser at Outlook on the web.
- Sign in to Outlook on the web.
- Locate an email from the sender you want to block.
- Right-click the email message.
- Select Block from the menu.
- Click Block sender.
- Confirm by selecting OK.
Messages from this sender will now be delivered to your Junk Email folder automatically.
Manage Blocked Senders in Outlook Settings (Web)
- Click the Settings (gear icon) in the upper-right corner.
- Choose Mail, then select Junk email.
- Under Senders > Blocked senders and domains, select Add blocked sender.
- Enter the sender’s email address.
- Select OK.
- Click Save.
Block a Sender in Outlook (classic)
Follow these steps if you use the Outlook (classic) application installed on your computer.
- Open Outlook.
- Select an email from the sender you want to block.
- Right-click the message.
- Select Junk.
- Choose Block Sender.
- Select OK to confirm.
Future messages from this sender will be sent directly to your Junk Email folder.
Manage Blocked Senders in Outlook (classic)
- Select the Home tab in Outlook.
- Select Junk, then choose Junk E-mail Options.
- Open the Blocked Senders tab.
- From here, you can add or remove email addresses as needed.
