Downloading detailed poll reports from your Zoom meetings provides comprehensive data for analysis, grading, and attendance tracking. These reports include individual participant responses, contact information, and timestamps, making them valuable for assessment and record-keeping purposes. Reports can be downloaded both during active meetings and after meetings have concluded through the Zoom web portal.

Prerequisites

Before downloading poll reports, ensure you have:

  • Conducted polls during a Zoom meeting
  • Host permissions for the meeting where polls were conducted
  • Ended the meeting (reports are generated after meeting completion)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Download Reports During the Meeting

To download poll results while your meeting is still active, do the following:

  1. From the bottom of the Polls/Quizzes window, select the three dots [1]
  2. Select Download results [2]
Zoom Polls/Quizzes window showing completed poll results. [1] points to the three dots menu at the bottom. [2] points to the 'Download results' button below the poll data.
  3. Choose a location on your computer to save the CSV file

Download Reports After the Meeting

To download poll reports after your meeting has ended, do the following:

  1. Sign in to your Chico Zoom web portal at https://csuchico.zoom.us/
  2. From the sidebar, select Reports
  3. From the Usage reports tab, select Meeting and webinar history
  4. Find the meeting where you deployed your poll
  5. From the far right column, select the graph icon [1]
  6. From the dropdown menu, select Poll Report [2]
Zoom web portal meeting history showing a list of meetings. [1] points to the graph icon in the far right column. [2] points to the 'Poll Report' option in the dropdown menu
  7. Choose a location on your computer to save the CSV file

The downloaded CSV report includes comprehensive data such as:

  • All poll questions and available answer choices
  • Individual participant responses for each question
  • Participant names and email addresses (unless polls were anonymous)
  • Response timestamps showing when each participant answered
  • Summary statistics and response counts

Now you have detailed poll data available for analysis, grading, attendance tracking, or other assessment purposes.

Troubleshooting

If you cannot find the three dots option during the meeting, ensure that you have launched at least one poll and are viewing the Polls/Quizzes interface.

If you cannot find the graph icon in the meeting history, verify that polls were actually launched during the meeting, not just created beforehand.

If the report shows limited participant information, check whether polls were configured as anonymous, which hides participant identification details.

For meetings that just ended, reports may take a few minutes to generate and become available for download.

Next Steps

With your downloaded poll reports, you can:

  • Analyze participant engagement and response patterns
  • Use data for attendance verification and grading
  • Import results into Canvas
  • Create follow-up content based on participant responses
  • Track learning outcomes and comprehension over time
