Manage Canvas Assignments in Poll Everywhere

Introduction

Course Management in Poll Everywhere streamlines course administration by simplifying course management for instructors. This feature enhances our Canvas integration, allowing instructors to create an "assignment" and associate that assignment with one or more poll activities. You can specify assignment scores be based on participation and/or correctness of poll activities. Additionally, you can require partipants be "checked-in" as a requirement for in-person attendance to access the poll activity. 

This guide explains how to access the Course Management feature in Poll Everywhere. 

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure the following:

• You are logged in to https://www.polleverywhere.com/ 
• A Canvas course linked to Poll Everywhere to see the Course Management icon.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Log into your Poll Everywhere account at www.polleverywhere.com.

2. Locate and select the Course Management icon. You can do this in two ways:

   a) Select the Course Management icon from the navigation bar on the left.

   b) Select the Participants icon from the navigation bar, then choose Courses.

Troubleshooting

• If your course is not yet connected, the Course Management icon will appear once the LMS integration is complete. 
• If courses are not syncing to Canvas, check whether the scoring model (points-based or percentage-based) is correctly configured in Poll Everywhere.
