Why is my department wrong in Zoom?

Solution

To address the issue of outdated or missing department information in Zoom, follow these steps:

1. Wait several pay periods for HR to input job information into PeopleSoft.
2. If it has been more than a couple of pay periods since the change, reach out to HR to inquire about the status of your PeopleSoft update.
3. Ask HR to expedite the update if necessary, especially if it's impacting your use of Zoom or other systems.
4. Once HR updates your information in PeopleSoft, verify that the change is reflected in Zoom within the following pay period.

This process should ensure that your Zoom profile accurately displays your current department, aligning with the updates in PeopleSoft.

Root Cause

When an employee’s department information changes, the update in Zoom depends on PeopleSoft to first reflect the new information.
