How Do I Track Zoom Attendance in Canvas?

You can automatically assign a grade for students' attendance in live, Zoom meetings if:

  • As the teacher, you create the meeting using the Canvas / Zoom LTI integration.  Note: You cannot use your Personal Meeting Room.
  • You must select Require Authentication when scheduling the meeting.
  • You cannot enable Join Before Host.
  • As the teacher, you must start the meeting within 10 minutes of its scheduled start time in order to generate a report.
  • If you are the only one in the meeting, there is no report generated.
