Downloading media from Kaltura allows people to access and utilize their video and audio recordings offline. Whether for review, presentation, or archival purposes, this guide will walk you through the process of downloading your media files in just a few steps.

Prerequisites

  • Ensure you have permissions to edit and download the media you wish to download.

Step-by-Step Instructions

To download media from Kaltura, do the following:

  1. Log in to your Kaltura Mediaspace account at media.csuchico.edu.
  2. Under My Media, select Edit for the video or audio recording you wish to download.
  3. Navigate to the Downloads tab. Check the boxes next to the formats you want available for download. Note that available formats depend on the original file's format. After selecting, click Save then Go To Media.
  4. A Download tab will now appear on the main page of the media.
  5. Links to download the available versions you selected earlier will be presented. Click the Download link next to the desired version to start the download.

By following these steps, you will have successfully downloaded the desired media file for offline access.

Troubleshooting

  • If you do not see the Download tab, ensure you have followed all the steps correctly, especially the selection of formats in the Downloads tab.
