Accessing an Unofficial Transcript
Former Students (More Than 3 Years After Graduation)
If it has been more than 3 years since you graduated, you no longer have access to the Student Center.
You can request an unofficial transcript through the Office of the Registrar. Requests must be ordered and picked up in person at the Student Services Center, room 110.
Please note:
- A photo ID is required for pick up
- There is a $2.00 fee for each transcript
- Most requests are processed while you wait, but may take up to 24 hours during busy periods
- Transcripts not picked up within 30 days will be destroyed and are not eligible for a refund
You may also order an official transcript through the National Student Clearinghouse.
Active Students (Currently Enrolled or Within 3 Years of Graduation)
If you are currently enrolled or graduated within the past 3 years, you can access your unofficial transcript in the Student Center.
- Go to the Student Center from the Chico State Portal.
- In the left sidebar, select Student Records, then choose View Unofficial Transcript.
- Review your academic information.
- Select View PDF in the top right corner.
- Download the file using the download icon.

Common Issues with Transcripts
Trouble Signing in to Access Your Transcript
If you are an active student or graduated within the past 3 years but cannot sign in to the Portal:
- Try to Reset Your Chico State Password
- You will need your Chico State ID number and username
- Contact IT Support Services if you are still unable to sign in or reset the password.
- ITSS can verify your account status, including your affiliations and access dates, to confirm whether you should still have access to the Student Center.

- If prompted:
- Select OK to remove a Document Open password
- Enter the password (if required) to remove permissions
