Accessing an Unofficial Transcript

This article will guide students through accessing, viewing, and downloading their unofficial transcript in the Student Center, along with troubleshooting common PDF issues.

Instructions

1. Navigate to the Student Center. You can do this using the link in the Chico State Portal.
2. In the left sidebar, scroll to Student Records and click View Unofficial Transcript.
3. On this menu, you will see total credits, degrees, and programs.
4. Click View PDF in the top right corner to view a copy of your unofficial transcript.
5. To download the transcript, open the PDF and click the download icon in the top right.

Common Issues

Unable to Upload Protected PDF

1. Open the file in Adobe Acrobat (not Adobe Reader).
2. Go to Tools > Protect > Advanced Options > Remove Security.
3. Optimize: File > Save As Other > Optimized PDF... > Set compatibility to Acrobat 5.0 and later > Save.
4. Password Removal:
   • If prompted, click OK to remove a Document Open password.
   • For a Permissions password, enter it and click OK twice.
