You may have received an email saying your training is now expired, even if you remember completing it before. Don’t worry, this is expected.
Most compliance trainings must be renewed every year (or every two years). Your past completion is still on record, but it has expired, and now it’s time to renew your certification.
What to Do
-
Open the training link in your email.
-
Click Register Again (the system may still show 100% complete — that’s your old record).
-
Click Start to begin this year’s training.
Why Does the System Say “Attended”?
-
“Attended” means you completed the training before, often about a year ago.
-
It shows the date of your last completion, not your current status.
-
It does not mean you are done for this year.
Think of it like renewing a driver’s license or student ID — your old one was valid, but it expired, so you need a new one.
Are Title IX and Sexual Harassment Prevention the Same?
No. These are two different required trainings:
-
Title IX Training Impressions (for students): Focuses on student rights, responsibilities, and resources related to gender equity and discrimination.
-
Title IX Training and Gender Equity (for employees) -Covers employee responsibilities and reporting obligations.
-
Sexual Harassment Prevention (for employees): Focuses on workplace policies, responsibilities, and prevention requirements.
-
Sexual Harassment Prevention (for supervisors) A 2hr course required for those with supervisory responsibilities.
Depending on whether you are a student, employee, or both, you may be assigned one or both trainings.
