1. Go to the Chico State Portal
2. Click on the "New Student Account" link
3. Input your Chico State ID number and birth date
4. Take note of your Username. You will use this Username to log in to campus systems
5. Set up your security questions
6. Create your new password
7. Check your password recovery information including your mobile number and personal email address
8. Go back to the Portal and log in.
