Frequently asked assignment questions
QUESTION: I already completed the Sexual Misconduct Prevention Program. Do I need to complete the Discrimination Harassment Prevention Program?
Yes. All state employees are required to take two of the following three courses, depending on their role:
- CSU's Discrimination Harassment Prevention Program for Non-Supervisors
- CSU's Discrimination Harassment Prevention Program for Supervisors
- CSU's Sexual Misconduct Prevention Program
The compliance requirements for these courses are separate. They are not the same course.
QUESTION: I am retired or on leave. Why am I still getting assignment emails?
Compliance training is assigned to all employees with an active status in the PeopleSoft HR system. Currently, your employee or payroll status is listed as active, which is why you are receiving training assignments.
- Retired employees: If you believe you should not be listed as active, please contact your HR liaison or HR Payroll to update your status to inactive in PeopleSoft. Once your status changes to inactive, all current and future compliance training assignments will be removed from CSU Learn automatically.
- FERP-ing faculty: You are required to complete compliance training during your active teaching semesters. Ignore the deadline and reminders—complete the training during the first week you are back to teaching.
- CSE Affiliation: Although you are retired from your state position, you may still be affiliated with Chico State Enterprises (CSE). CSE may require you to complete compliance training that could be similar to or different from stateside HR training. If you are no longer working with CSE and would like to remove your affiliation, please contact CSE HR at CSEHR@csuchico.edu. Removing your affiliation will deactivate your CSU Learn account, and you will no longer be assigned training.
