Removing Bookmarks

To remove existing bookmarks from your web browser follow the steps from the choices below. 

Google Chrome

To remove an existing bookmark, right-click on the bookmark and select delete.

Mozilla Firefox

To remove an existing bookmark click on the view history, saved bookmarks icon.  Select bookmarks from the drop-down menu, and right-click on the bookmark, and select delete.

Microsoft Edge

To remove an existing favorite click on the view favorites icon, and right-click on the favorite from the list, and select delete.

Editing Bookmarks

On some occasions, your bookmarks will not direct you to the website linked. To fix this issue you may need to update the link address saved in the bookmark. This is common with applications or programs here on campus that require authentication prior to access. E.g. PeopleSoft, Exchange, Portal, Blackboard, etc… Depending on the browser of your choice follow the steps listed to edit existing bookmarks.

Google Chrome

To edit the bookmark address in Google Chrome go to the access site, and right-click on the login icon, and select Copy Link Address.  Once you have the Link Address copied, go to the bookmark and right-click and select edit.  This will take you to the edit bookmark window, from here delete the old URL address and paste the new address into the URL box and click Save.

Mozilla Firefox

To edit the bookmark address in Firefox go to the access site, and right-click on the login or redirect icon and select Copy Link Location.  Once you have copied the new link address, click on the applications menu button, and Bookmarks. In the bookmark menu right click on the bookmark you want to edit and select Edit Bookmark. Once in the properties menu delete the old URL address and paste the new address in the URL box and click Save.

Microsoft Edge

To edit the bookmark in Microsoft Edge go to the access site, and right-click on the login, redirect icon, or link, and select Copy Link.  Once you have copied the Link, open the favorites menu by clicking on the favorites icon and right-clicking on the bookmark you want to edit and selecting edit.  In the edit menu, clear the URL box and paste the new URL address into the box and click save.
