Creating a playlist in Kaltura allows you to organize and share multiple videos in a structured manner. This is useful for curating related content, making it easier for viewers to access and watch a sequence of videos. This guide explains how to create a playlist and add publicly shared videos to it.
Prerequisites
- The videos you want to add must be publicly shared or owned by you
Step-by-Step Instructions
To create a playlist in Kaltura, follow these steps:
- From the Kaltura Video Portal, go to your user menu and select My Playlists.
- Choose Create Playlist and enter the details for your playlist (e.g., name, description).
- If you want to add media you don't own to the playlist, switch the view from My Media to All Shared Content.
- Use the search box to find the videos you want to add.
- Select the + button next to a video to add it to the playlist.
- Review your playlist and select Save when you're satisfied.
Now your playlist is created, and you can share it or use it to organize related content efficiently.
Troubleshooting
- If you can't find a specific video, confirm the title and search criteria are correct and that you are either an owner, group owner, co-editor, co-publisher, or co-viewer on the video.
