Creating a playlist in Kaltura allows you to organize and share multiple videos in a structured manner. This is useful for curating related content, making it easier for viewers to access and watch a sequence of videos. This guide explains how to create a playlist and add publicly shared videos to it.

  • The videos you want to add must be publicly shared or owned by you

Step-by-Step Instructions

To create a playlist in Kaltura, follow these steps:

  1. From the Kaltura Video Portal, go to your user menu and select My Playlists.
  2. Choose Create Playlist and enter the details for your playlist (e.g., name, description).
  3. If you want to add media you don't own to the playlist, switch the view from My Media to All Shared Content.
  4. Use the search box to find the videos you want to add.
  5. Select the + button next to a video to add it to the playlist.
  6. Review your playlist and select Save when you're satisfied.

Now your playlist is created, and you can share it or use it to organize related content efficiently.

Troubleshooting

  • If you can't find a specific video, confirm the title and search criteria are correct and that you are either an owner, group owner, co-editor, co-publisher, or co-viewer on the video.
