Instructions
Guest Access Accounts (formerly Parent Portal) can be created by active Chico State students to grant parents or guardians access to view their Student Center. Only students can create these accounts. IT Support Services cannot generate guest accounts.
- Navigate to the Student Center. You can do this using the link in the Chico State Portal.
- In the left sidebar, scroll to Student Records and click Manage Guests.
- Click Add Guest User, then enter the user details and select the information they can access.
- Click Save. The guest user should receive an email with login instructions in 24-48 hours.
Important notes:
- Each guest account will have a unique username and Chico State ID number.
- The username will appear as StudentUsername_GuestFirstName. The ID number is randomly generated.
- Guests will set their password once they receive the email with login instructions. Password resets can be completed using the instructions for Resetting Chico State Password.
