An Exchange distribution group functions much the same as an individual group does in Outlook. It is a single address that contains one or many member email addresses. The requestor becomes the group owner (unless otherwise specified) and can add or remove members at will.
A distribution group can contain one or many (no technical limit) Chico State Exchange email addresses (addresses ending in @csuchico.edu.) By default, distribution groups are visible in the global address list and available to all Exchange users. They can be hidden from the global address list by request. Users may still send to a hidden distribution group address by manually typing it in.
