Troubleshooting Error Messages in Box Drive For Windows Users

Problems can occur in Box Drive for a variety of reasons, follow this link to find out more about what causes these issues. If Box has an issue, Windows will display the following message, or something similar.

                         

 

In Box Drive, folders/files that failed to upload or update have a red dot with a white exclamation mark next to them, indicating that the folder/file upload encountered an error and was unsuccessful.

                         

 

The Box application has the ability to provide some details regarding error messages users may encounter while working with Box.

To find out what caused the problem in Box Drive, follow these steps:

Step 1)Locate the Box icon on the Windows Task bar.

                     
                     If your task bar does not display the active apps, click the ^ to view the hidden icons.

                     

Step 2)Click open the Box application and locate the gear icon in the lower left corner.

                      

Step 3)Click the gear icon. A small window will pop up that displays the error message.

                         

Step 4)Click open the Error message. A new window will pop up detailing the cause of the problem.
