Submitting OneDrive Files in Canvas

Overview

All Chico State students have free access to Microsoft Office, including 1TB of storage in OneDrive. Using OneDrive makes it easy to store your files in the cloud and submit them directly to Canvas assignments.

To follow these steps, you’ll need:

  • Access to a Canvas course with an active assignment
  • A Chico State OneDrive account (included with your Office 365 subscription)
  • A file saved in your OneDrive that you want to submit

Submitting a OneDrive File in Canvas

  1. In your Canvas course, open the assignment you want to submit.
  2. In the submission area, select the OneDrive tab.
  3. If prompted, sign in with your Chico State email address and password.
  4. Browse your OneDrive and select the file you want to submit.
  5. Click Attach to add the file.
  6. Select Submit Assignment to confirm.

Your OneDrive file is now submitted to the assignment.
