Getting Started with Unified Messaging
Unified Messaging (UM) improves productivity by delivering voicemail messages directly to your Exchange email inbox.
With Unified Messaging, you can access voicemail from multiple devices, including:
- Desktop or laptop computers
- Desk phones
- Mobile devices
- Web browsers
Voicemail messages are delivered as audio file attachments that can be played using your device’s default media player.

- Locate the attached audio file titled VoiceMessage.mp3.
- Open or download the attachment.
- You might see a security notice about opening mail attachments from a trusted source. This is normal. You can click Open or Save.
- Play the file using your default media player.
Voicemail emails may also include:
- Caller information, such as caller ID or phone number
- Date and time of the call
