Signing up for Campus Alerts

What are Chico State Alerts?

Chico State Alerts is a service that Chico State uses to contact students, faculty, and staff in the event of a campus emergency or a crisis situation. The system can contact you via phone call, text message, or email. The system is maintained by the University and will only be used in an emergency or periodical testing of the system.

During an emergency affecting the University, the notification system will begin cycling through the contact information you entered into the system and deliver you a message with details about the event. Chico State Alerts will continue cycling through your contact information in an attempt to reach you by all methods that you have provided in your contact information.

How do I sign up?

Students are automatically signed up for Chico State Alerts using the emergency notification information they enter during registration. Faculty and staff must sign up via the Chico State Alerts site. Occasionally, people report being unable to edit the boxes. If this is an issue you are experiencing, try these steps:

  • Make sure that you are trying to edit the page on a computer, not on a mobile device.
