What to Expect from Your Transferred Files

  • The transfer typically completes in a few hours but can take up to a week.
  • Your files will appear in batches inside your personal Google Drive.
  • Files will be in a folder named after your Chico State email and the transfer date.
  • You become the owner of all copied files.
  • Files are not shared by default. You’ll need to re-share them manually if needed.
  • Comments remain, but revision history is not transferred.

To view your transfer history (past 30 days):

  1. Go to Google Transfer.
  2. Click Manage transfer history.

Fix Transfer Issues

  • Make sure you're the owner or editor of any files you want to copy. View-only files will not transfer.
  • If the transfer is still processing, wait up to one week before trying again.
  • Didn’t receive your confirmation code? Check your spam or junk folder.
