This article will guide you through removing and setting up Eduroam on macOS devices. Instructions apply to both personal and campus-managed systems.
If you receive an "Unable to Connect" or similar error, please visit our office in Meriam Library 142. You may have an expired password, locked account, or affiliation issues that prevent a successful connection to the wireless network.
Continuous connection attempts could lock your Chico State account.
Remove or Forget Eduroam
Campus-Managed Device Note: This process may require an IT Support Services administrator password if you are on a campus-managed Mac.
Please visit Meriam Library 142 if you are unable to connect.
- Open System Settings from the Apple menu.
- Select Wi-Fi from the left sidebar.
- From the network menu, click the three dots (...) next to eduroam.
- Select Forget Network. If you are on a campus-managed Mac and this option is not available, visit ITSS in MLIB 142.

- You may be prompted for your system password or Touch ID to make these changes.
- Your system password is the one used to unlock your computer, which may differ from the password for your Chico State account.
Set Up Eduroam
- Click the Wi-Fi icon in the top-right corner of your screen. Select eduroam from the list.
- When prompted, enter your Chico State email address and password, and then click OK. You do not need to select a certificate.

- When the "Verify Certificate" notification appears, click Continue. You may be prompted for your system password or Touch ID to make these changes.

- After a brief moment, you should now be connected to the eduroam network!
