Portal Overview
The Chico State Portal is the central hub for students, faculty, and staff, providing essential access to a wide range of online services, including:
- Canvas
- Microsoft 365 (Campus Email)
- Google Drive
- Account Center (password and account management)
- Student Center (enrollment and financial information)
- Canvas and CSULearn (campus training)
- Campus Announcements and Chico State Alerts
If you have not yet claimed your account, you can follow the instructions on our Knowledge Base for Claiming Your Chico State Student Account. If you have already claimed your account and cannot sign in, please follow the instructions for Resetting Your Chico State Password (Portal Password).
Adding Portlets
- Navigate to the Chico State Portal and sign in.
- Click the Customize tab along the top.
- Scroll down to the Portlet Marketplace. Here you can either browse all Portlets or use the search to locate something specific.
- When you've located your portlet, click Details in the right column.
- On the details page, click Options then My Portal.

- There is no confirmation message, but you should see the Portlet on your Portal homepage.
- If you wish to add more Portlets, you can click Back to List to view the Portlet Marketplace.
