Searching for Campus Users in the Global Address Book in Office 365 (Exchange)

The campus Global Address List (GAL) in Office 365 (Exchange) is organized and users will be listed by first and last name.

Find users in the Global Address List using Outlook on a PC:

  1. Select "New Email" in Outlook
  2. Click on the "To" button
  3. Make sure that the "Address Book" drop-down says "Global Address List" and NOT "Offline Global Address List"; this could show irrelevant or incorrect results.

  4. Type in the user's first or last name, then click the arrow. This will populate all relevant results.

  5. Select the person you want to send to and click "OK". This will insert their email address in the "To" field.
