Project Purpose
What organizational need are you looking to address?
Faculty want an efficient, centralized platform to manage and integrate digital resources, especially from external publishers. Installing a publisher LTI tool addresses this by seamlessly connecting external content and tools to the university's LMS, enhancing access and streamlining course material management for both instructors and students.
Success Criteria/Requirements
What constitutes project success (e.g. requirements, key goals, features, functions, capabilities, etc.)?
1. Seamless Integration: The LTI should integrate with the existing Learning Management System (LMS), allowing for easy access and management of publisher content and tools without technical glitches or significant downtime.
2. Enhanced User Experience: Both faculty and students should find an improved experience in accessing and utilizing educational resources over using the third-party directly. This includes intuitive navigation, reliable performance, and effective alignment of the publisher content with the course objectives and learning outcomes.

Description

Faculty want an efficient, centralized platform to manage and integrate digital resources, especially from external publishers. Installing a publisher LTI tool addresses this by seamlessly connecting external content and tools to the university's LMS, enhancing access and streamlining course material management for both instructors and students.

The goal of this project is the implementation of LibreTexts' ADAPT LTI within Canvas. This will provide seamless access to digital resources and tools offered by the publisher, thereby enhancing the educational experience. Key components include streamlined resource access, customizable content integration, and real-time grade passback.
