The Office of Admissions and Enrollment Management measure the year over year enrollment changes in incoming classes. They will continue to do so with the implementation of this tool, with a goal of improving yield by 2% per year (roughly an additional 400 incoming freshman and 250 transfers).
What are the consequences of not doing this project?
For example: direct significant negative consequences to the University, unable to conduct basic services; failure to resolve customer complaints or requests; loss of opportunity for improved service delivery or efficiency. Please explain.
This could have profound impacts for staff and faculty and our finances if we are not able to maintain or increase enrollment levels at this campus.

What would a successful solution look like?
What outcome will you have at the conclusion of this project? If this proposal is one of a multi-phase project, please explain your plans, goals, and timelines for subsequent phases.
A successful solution will allow us to determine which students are in the middle of the road in terms of potential commitment to Chico State so that we can engage in precise marketing efforts to sway their commitment towards our campus. The goal is for enrollment to return to at least 2017 values.

Description

While Chico State has been able to generate a consistent number of applicants and admits, over time our ability to convert those individuals to enrolled Chico State students has decreased. Our goal is to deploy the TargetX prospecting tool to gain a greater understanding of incoming populations, and influence behaviors to gain additional commitments to Chico State in future terms.
