System Requirements

  • Hardware Requirements

    • Size: 20 MB

  • Software Requirements

    • iPhone, iPad, & iPod touch: Requires iOS 10.3 or later.

    • Must be signed into an active Apple account.
       

Download Instructions & Installation

  1. Navigate to the App Store on your iOS Device. Search for GlobalProtect. You will install the one shown below; an image of a globe with a check box.



     
  2. Your device will probably ask to confirm the installation, either by Face ID, Passcode, or Password. GlobalProtect should now install.

Configuration

  1. Now that it is installed, open the GlobalProtect app. It will prompt for a Portal Address. This may change depending on the device type.

    1. For campus-managed iOS devices, enter ao-vpn.csuchico.edu

    2. For personal iOS devices, enter vpn.csuchico.edu

  2. A pop-up will appear asking you to Add VPN Configurations. Make sure to click "Allow", or the VPN will not work.


     

  3. After allowing the VPN configurations, you will need to sign in. Do so using your Chico State username and password.

  4. Provide the required information for the MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) verification.


  5. You should now be connected! 

    ** If you are on a personal iOS device, you will need to reopen the app to turn on the VPN when you need to use it.

Uninstall Client

To delete GlobalProtect from your iOS device, tap and hold until the apps start to jiggle. Tap the minus (-) and delete the app.
