Requirements

System Requirements

  • Device Storage: 20 MB available space
  • Supported Devices: iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
  • Operating System: iOS 13 or later
  • Apple ID: Must be signed in to an active Apple account

Account Requirements

Installing GlobalProtect VPN

  1. Open the App Store on your iOS device.
  2. Search for GlobalProtect.
  3. Install the app published by Palo Alto Networks.
  4. Confirm installation using Face ID, Touch ID, passcode, or Apple ID password.

Configuring GlobalProtect VPN

  1. Open the GlobalProtect app.
  2. When prompted for a portal address, enter:
    • ao-vpn.csuchico.edu for campus-managed iOS devices
    • vpn.csuchico.edu for personal iOS devices
  3. When prompted to add VPN configurations, select Allow.
  4. Sign in using your Chico State username and password.
  5. Approve the login request using Duo.

Uninstalling GlobalProtect

  1. Tap and hold the GlobalProtect app icon.
  2. Select Remove App.
  3. Select Delete App to confirm removal.
