Limit Access to an Entire Service Category
By default, a service category inherits the permissions of its parent category.
	- In the Client Portal, navigate to the category. Users with the right permissions will see a pencil icon to edit the category.
- Select the Permissions tab.
- Uncheck Inherit Permissions to override the parent category.
- Uncheck Public if the category should not be available to all users.
- Choose user groups:
	
		- Allow only the selected groups (allow list), or
- Allow everyone except the selected groups (deny list).
 
Note: Editing category permissions is restricted to certain user roles. If you do not see the edit icon, check with your manager.
Limit Access to a Single Service
By default, a service inherits the permissions of its containing category.
	- In the Client Portal, navigate to the service. Users with the right permissions will see an Edit Service button.
- Select the Permissions tab.
- Uncheck Inherit Permissions to override the category.
- Uncheck Public if the service should not be available to all users.
- Choose user groups:
	
		- Allow only the selected groups (allow list), or
- Allow everyone except the selected groups (deny list).
 
Note: Editing service permissions is limited to the service manager (set in TeamDynamix) and certain user roles. If you do not see the edit option, check with your manager.
