Sentry Gatekeeper e911 - Installing on a Personal Device

After you have installed Avaya Workplace onto your personal device, follow these steps to install and activate Sentry Gatekeeper.

SENTRY Gatekeeper is an e911 software used in conjunction with the Avaya Workplace softphone client and Microsoft Teams Calling. Remote workers can enable the address they are physically at which enables their work extension to act as their home 911 or emergency response address.

Support for Personal Devices

Installation of Sentry Gatekeeper on a personal device is a personal choice. It is in no way required for employment and is entirely optional. Although personal devices are not formally supported, Chico State will make a good-faith effort to support users who choose to install and use Sentry Gatekeeper on their personal devices.

Installation & Configuration

Gatekeeper will automatically begin startup. If you have set up and logged into Gatekeeper on another device in the past (such as a University-owned device), it should have you log in again, and then automatically link to your account and take you to your address(es) screen. If this is your first time setting up Gatekeeper, follow the instructions here to finish setup and configure Gatekeeper.
