Share Poll Results During a Meeting in Zoom

Quick Links: | Prerequisites | Instructions | Troubleshooting | Next Steps |

After ending a Zoom poll, you can share summarized results with meeting participants. Shared results allow participants to view response distributions and can be used to support discussion or review understanding.

Prerequisites

Before sharing poll results during meetings, ensure you have:

Step-by-Step Instructions

To share poll results with participants during your meeting, do the following:

  1. After launching your poll and allowing time for participants to respond, select End Poll to stop collecting new responses
  2. The poll results will automatically display in your poll interface, showing response counts and percentages
  3. To make these results visible to all meeting participants, select Share Results
  4. Results will immediately appear on participants' screens, displaying response summaries such as answer choices and response percentages.
  5. Sharing poll results displays aggregated responses only. Individual participant responses are not shown during result sharing.

The poll results are now visible to all meeting participants, allowing for group discussion and analysis.

Shared results display response distributions but do not reveal which participants selected specific answers. For quizzes, correct-answer settings are managed separately.

If you relaunch the same poll later in the meeting, the displayed results will reflect the responses collected during that most recent polling session.

Troubleshooting

I don't see the Share Results button

  • Ensure the poll has been ended. Results cannot be shared while a poll is still collecting responses.

Participants joined after the results were shared

  • Stop sharing and select Share Results again so newly joined participants can view the results.

The results seem incorrect

  • Verify that participants had sufficient time to respond before ending the poll.

If participants report they cannot see the shared results, verify that you selected Share Results after ending the poll, not just after launching it.

If results appear incomplete, ensure you gave participants adequate time to respond before ending the poll.

Some participants may need to refresh their Zoom window if results don't display properly on their screen.

Next Steps

After sharing poll results during your meeting, you can:

  • Facilitate discussion based on the results
  • Download detailed poll reports after the meeting for further analysis
  • Launch additional polls to explore topics further
