Troubleshooting

Not connected to the internet?

The VPN does not provide internet access. You must first connect to a network (Wi-Fi or wired) before the VPN can connect.

Using a captive portal (hotel, airport, conference)?

You must complete the network’s login or acceptance page before the VPN will connect. Open a browser and confirm you can access websites like csuchico.edu.

Connection failed error?

  1. Confirm you are connected to the internet.
  2. Open a browser and go to https://ao-vpn.csuchico.edu.
  3. If the page does not load, check your network connection.
  4. If the page loads but the VPN still fails, contact IT Support.

  2. Select the gear icon, then Settings.
  3. Select the Troubleshooting tab.
  4. Select Collect Logs.
