Profile

The Profile section in Microsoft Teams allows you to manage your personal information and account settings. You can view your profile information, such as your name, profile picture, and contact information. The Profile section provides you with options to set your status, manage your privacy settings, and configure your devices. 

To access the Profile section, click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the Teams window and select your name from the drop-down menu. You can see your profile information, such as your name, email address, phone number, and organization.

 

Set Your Status, Work Location, and Status Messages

To set your status, click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the Teams window and select your desired status from the drop-down menu. 

  1. Status: You can choose from available, busy, do not disturb, be right back, or away.
  2. Work location: Set your work location for the day by selecting “Office” or “Remote”.
  3. Status Messages: Set a custom message and duration.

Profile Settings and Details

  1. Access Profile: In the top-right corner of the app, you will see your profile picture or your initials if a picture hasn't been set. Click on this icon.
  2. View Profile: A dropdown menu will appear after clicking your profile icon. Look for and hover over your name and the option that says "View your profile" will display. Click View your profile.
  3. Profile Page: Your profile page will display, where you can view your account details. This section displays your name, email, organization information, and any other details associated with your account.
