Wildcat ID Card Photo Criteria

If submitting your own photo, please make sure that it aligns with all requirements below:

Appropriate:

  • Background: Light-colored or minimally patterned wall (recommended: light blue, gray, or beige).
  • Framing: Shoulders-up, passport-style, facing straight at the camera (smiling is allowed!).
  • Attire: Clothing is required -- no shirtless or swimsuit images.
  • Composition: Center yourself in the frame with space around your face.

Inappropriate:

  • Background: Avoid black or white backgrounds (they distort the printed image and will be rejected). No busy backgrounds (cars, trees, etc.).
  • Framing: No tilted heads, turned shoulders, or looking to the side.
  • Attire: Remove hats, headphones, AirPods, sunglasses, scarves, lanyards, or face masks.
    • Religious attire (e.g., hijabs, turbans, kippahs) is allowed.
  • Composition: No cut-off foreheads, filters, Photoshop, or other edits.
  • Other: No other people or pets in the image. Do not submit a photo or scan of another ID (e.g., driver’s license).
