What do I do if I forgot my Username?
Your Chico State Username is used to login to campus applications. If you have forgotten your Username please follow the steps below to recover it:
1. Go to the Chico State Portal
2. Click "Sign In" At the top right of the page
3. Click on "Forgot Username" below the Password box
4. Enter in your Chico State ID number and personal email address (your Chico State ID number is on your Chico State ID card in the lower left-hand corner) and check the box indicating you agree to send text messages on your mobile device or personal email address. Then select "Submit"
5. Verify that the personal email or phone number is correct and select "retrieve Username"
6. You will receive an email or text with your Username
What if I don't know my Chico State ID number?
Employees
Your Chico State ID number is on your Wildcat card in the lower left-hand corner on the front. It is a nine digit number. If you do not have your Wildcat card you can contact your department AAS, ASC, or ASA to retrieve your Chico State ID number.
Current and former students
Your Chico State ID number is on your Wildcat card in the lower left-hand corner on the front. It is a nine digit number. If you do not have your Wildcat card you can contact IT Support Services (ITSS) at 1-530-898-4357. ITSS will validate the current or former student's identity and will give them their Chico State ID number. Once the student has their Chico State ID number they can resume the Username recovery process. If ITSS is unable to validate the identity of the student, they will transfer the person to the Office of the Registrar for additional assistance.
