 Important: Generating a password in Keeper does not automatically update the password on the associated website. You must still update the password directly on the website’s Change Password page.

Create Keeper Records

  1. Select Create New.
  2. Select Record.
  3. Select a record type.
  4. Enter a title for the record.
  5. Enter the username, email address, and password.
  6. Optional: Select the dice icon to generate a secure password.
  7. Select Save.

The record will appear in My Vault.

Share a Record with Another Keeper User

  1. Select the record you want to share.
  2. In the details pane, select Share.
  3. In the Add People tab, enter the recipient’s email address.
  4. Use the permission dropdown menu to select the appropriate access level.
  5. Select Add.

If this is the first time sharing with the recipient:

  1. The recipient will receive an email asking them to accept the sharing request.
  2. After the request is accepted, the recipient will appear in the sharing list.

If the recipient is not already a Keeper user, they will receive an invitation to create a Keeper account.

You can update sharing permissions at any time using the dropdown menu next to the user’s email address.

Share a Record Using One-Time Share

  1. Select the record you want to share.
  2. Open the record options menu.
  3. Select One-Time Share.
  4. Select Create a One-Time Share.
  5. Choose an expiration time for the link.
  6. Select Create Link.
  7. Copy the generated link or copy the invitation message to share through email, text message, or another communication method.

Recipients can open the shared record in a web browser even if they do not have a Keeper account.

One-Time Share links automatically expire after the selected time period and are tied to the recipient’s device.

To manage or remove active One-Time Shares:

  1. Open the One-Time Share screen for the record.
  2. Review active or expired shares.
  3. Delete a share to immediately disable the link.

Delete a Record

  1. Right-click the record.
  2. Select Delete.
  3. Select OK to confirm.

You can also delete records from the record options menu.

Restore a Deleted Record

  1. Select Deleted Items from the left menu.
  2. Locate the deleted record.
  3. Select Restore.

The Lost Access tab contains records that you own but can no longer access.
