MFP Program Overview
The Division of IT (DoIT) offers the Multifunctional Printer (MFP) Program as the official, IT-supported printing solution available on campus. This program allows campus departments to lease self-service multifunctional printers designed to handle copying, printing, and scanning needs efficiently.
The MFP Program is part of the broader commitment of the DoIT Print Services team to support all campus printing needs. Through standardized solutions and centralized support, Print Services helps ensure reliable service, improved security, and cost-effective printing across the university.
Printing Options and Program Details
Ordering a Printer or MFP
To request a new desktop printer or MFP, submit a service request:
Service – Request a New Printer
When completing the request form, be prepared to provide the following information:
- Project and Object Code (CSE) for billing or a State-side Fund, Department ID, and Program
- Building and room number where the printer will be installed
- Connection type:
- Network or USB
- If networked, confirm whether an active network port is available and provide the port number
What’s Included
The MFP Program includes:
- Ongoing maintenance and service support
- Toner and required replacement parts
- IT Support Services (ITSS) assistance and secure network connectivity
This standardized program improves support, increases security, and helps reduce overall printing costs.
MFP and Compact Printing Options
The printing program includes multiple approved printer models designed to meet different departmental printing needs. The options below outline available MFP and compact printing models and associated costs to help departments select the best fit.
This cost-effective and flexible program uses a monthly base fee that covers maintenance, parts, and toner. Departments then pay only for the prints they actually make, helping manage costs while ensuring reliable support.

* Customers are charged a flat monthly rate with the understanding that devices are intended to print fewer than 1,000 pages per month. If a device exceeds this limit more than two times in a semester, the department will be asked to upgrade to the appropriate device.
