Connect to a Printer on a PC

This document details how to connect your PC to both MFP and non-MFP (Network) Printers.

Connecting to MFP

There are two primary methods of adding/connecting to a Ray Morgan MFP on a PC:

• Connecting through Software Center
• Connecting through Network Share

Connecting through Software Center

1. Type Software Center and select the Software Center app icon when it appears
2. In the search bar type mfp-printer then hit enter
3. The list of MFPs that are available to you should appear. Select the printer that you want to add and click Install
4. The printer should begin to install and may take up to a minute for the printer to appear in your printer list

NOTE: If the printer you want to add does not appear then it may not be a Ray Morgan MFP and you will need to refer to the Non-MFP Instructions.

Connecting through Network Share

1. In the Start Menu type in \\mfp-printers 
2. An explorer window will appear with all the available MFP printers on our network
   
    
3. You can search for the MFP printer by typing in its name in the search bar on the top right
4. Double-click on the MFP you would like to select and it should begin adding the MFP
5. Once added, the MFP queue will pop up to let you know that it has been added correctly

Connecting to non-MFP

There are two primary methods of adding/connecting to a non-MFP on a PC:

• Connecting through Software Center
• Connecting through Network Share

Connecting through Software Center

1. Type Software Center and select the Software Center app icon when it appears
2. In the search bar type mfp-printer then hit enter
3. The list of MFPs that are available to you should appear. Select the printer that you want to add and click Install
4. The printer should begin to install and may take up to a minute for the printer to appear in your printer list

NOTE: This may bring up both MFP and non-MFP devices. Please be sure you are adding the correct machine. 

Connecting through Network Share

1. In the Start Menu type in \\printers 
2. An explorer window will appear with all the available printers on our network
   
    
3. You can search for the printer by typing in its name in the search bar on the top right
4. Double-click on the printer you would like to select and it should begin adding it
5. Once added, the printer queue will pop up to let you know that it has been added correctly
