CatsConnect Overview
CatsConnect
CatsConnect is Chico State’s primary platform for campus events and student engagement. Students, staff, and faculty can use CatsConnect to discover events, connect with organizations, and promote campus activities.
CatsConnect replaced the former Campus Calendar as the university’s primary event platform.
Campus Announcements
Campus announcements are managed separately through the Announcements webpage. The announcement system supports employee and student announcements and continues to provide:
- Email distribution to the campus community
- Scheduled publishing dates
- Web-based browsing for current announcements

Understand Integrations and Widgets
Web Services has developed integrations that allow selected CatsConnect events to display on www.csuchico.edu pages.
To support consistent event discovery:
- Feeds are limited to organizational parent entities such as divisions and colleges
- Departments should properly tag events in CatsConnect, so they appear in the correct feeds
Announcement and Event widgets are available for websites using version 3 of the website template.
- The Announcements Widget continues to function normally
- The former Events Widget has been decommissioned
