Prerequisites
- Active Chico State Zoom account
- Access to the Chico State Zoom portal
- Knowledge of basic Zoom functionalities
Step-by-Step Instructions
To access and edit your Personal Meeting ID Room, do the following:
- From your browser, go to the Chico State Zoom portal.
- From the left menu, select Meetings.
- Select the Personal Room tab across the top.
- Either Start or Edit the meeting.

- If participants can join your Personal Meeting Room at any time, ensure you use the Waiting Room feature to admit participants individually or lock the meeting once all participants have joined.
Personal Meeting Room Security
Your Personal Meeting Room uses the same meeting ID and link each time. Because of this, Zoom recommends using it primarily with people you meet with regularly. Avoid using your Personal Meeting Room for back-to-back meetings or with people you do not meet with regularly.
Anyone who has your Personal Meeting Room link may be able to join when the room is in use unless you use security controls. To help manage access:
- Enable Waiting Room so you can admit participants individually .
- Lock the meeting room once all expected participants have joined.
- Use a scheduled meeting ID with a unique meeting ID when meeting different groups of people or when privacy is especially important.
Your Personal Meeting Room is now accessible and configured as needed.
