Calendly and Outlook Integration Overview

When a user connects their Outlook calendar to Calendly using the Microsoft Outlook integration, Calendly is granted permission to interact with the user’s calendar data in order to schedule and manage events.

Specifically, Calendly is granted permission to:

  • Read and write to the user’s primary calendar
  • Read and write to shared or delegated calendars the user has access to

Required Calendar Permissions

To successfully connect an Outlook calendar to Calendly, the following permissions must be in place:

  • Full Access permission on the mailbox
  • At least Editor permission on the calendar folder

Troubleshooting Calendly and Outlook Calendar Issues

If Calendly is not displaying calendar events or fails to connect properly, review the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Confirm you have been granted access to the shared or resource calendar.
  • Verify that you are able to sign in to Calendly successfully.
  • Open Outlook on the web and confirm you can view and edit calendar events.
  • If calendar permissions were recently changed, remove the affected calendar and re-add it. This forces synchronization and may resolve visibility issues in Calendly.
