Welcome back to TLP’s timely tips and tricks.

IMPORTANT! Gradebook Set-Up

• Download student rosters with email in New Analytics.
• Set your Grading Scheme to match your syllabus.
• For missing assignments, create an automatic policy now or enter 0s as you go. Blank entries are not included in grade.
• Wait till end-of-semester to "drop the lowest x quiz scores."
• Review extra credit options before offering to students and wait till end-of-semester to enter it. It can get complicated.

Communicate with your Students

Announcements, Inbox, Discussions, Pronto (like Slack or Discord), and email! Learn more about communication options.

Consider waiting to assign groups

Or use caution when creating a graded group discussion to avoid a “deserted discussions debacle" during the add/drop period.
