Create and Download Course Graphics
Chico State offers customized course card and banner graphic templates to help faculty create engaging and organized online course environments.
- Select one of the following links to open the TLP Google slide deck: Course Card or Banner Graphics.
- Select Make a Copy when prompted.
- Select the slide you want to customize, then choose Duplicate Slide.
- This allows you to keep the original version if needed.
- Add your custom edits to the slide, such as updating text or replacing graphics.
- When finished, select the entire slide and choose File > Download > PNG.
Add Graphics to Your Canvas Course
- Access your Canvas course.
- Add the image to your course:
- To add a course card image:
- Select Settings
- Select Choose Image next to the placeholder
- Update Course Details
- To add an image to a page:
- Open the page
- Select Insert > Image > Upload Image
- Save your changes
- To make a banner image span the full width of the page:
- Select the image
- Choose Image Options
- Set Dimension Type to Percentage
- Enter 100%
Troubleshoot Course Graphics Issues
- If using horizontal or square buttons on your course home page, ensure they are linked correctly and include alternative text for accessibility.
