What is ChemDoodle?

ChemDoodle is a web-based and on-premise chemical drawing and publishing software, which helps educational institutions build 2D and 3D molecular structures for demonstration purposes. Chico State has a site license for ChemDoodle 2D. 

You can install ChemDoodle on your personal device from https://www.chemdoodle.com/

Activating ChemDoodle Licensing

After you install ChemDoodle, you will need to activate the license. 

1. Start by connecting to the Global Protect VPN
2. Once connected, download the license file from Box: https://csuchico.app.box.com/s/hwn3tnrja5v7y79qvkxigtz2t7dd2mmp
3. Make sure you download the license to the correct location:
   1. For Windows devices, place it in C:\Program Files\ChemDoodle\config 
   2. For Mac Devices, place it in Applications/ChemDoodle/Config 
4. You should now be able to launch and use ChemDoodle 2D on your personal device
